Welcome to the E.S.S.C. homepage. We wish you a successful and prosperous search! We look forward to getting to know you well so that we can better apply our expertise and innovation to help you find, hire, and keep the top talent you need. Of course, you expect us to deliver quality candidates. (We've been doing that for twenty years.) We also aim to provide you with a cordial and timely service partnership--one that furnishes you with unsurpassed recruitment and placement excellence within a professional process management relationship that endures beyond today's successful search. In short, we want to be your "go-to" recruiting resource!
In today's highly competitive economic climate, the consequences of employment mismatches are more costly and potentially more far reaching than ever before. When hiring "picks up" as predicted, you can almost always expect marketeers who want to hawk their latest "finds" for you to interview. With continuous Southern California contingency recruiting since 1995, and with more than a million dollars of commissions gathered in successful local searches, we already know thousands of pre-qualified candidates, and we have developed networks and systematic professional search methodologies to make sure that we "get it right the first time" rather than guessing or pressuring you to see the candidate du jour. (At your convenience, we'll be pleased to share some especially interesting and attractive local "finds" of our own with you, but we'd rather get to know you before presuming to present our favorites to you before relating to your priorities and needs . . .) Engaging ESSC is a great way to maximize your recruitment resources!
When you consider engaging an Executive Search firm to help you find and land the best candidates for your important openings, we think it's important to assess the firm's readiness and ability from the onset of the search to work "around the clock" on your behalf to help you fill those key positions. We also suggest that you consider the following when comparing search firm bona fides:

Our success is built on professionalism, performance, and an understanding of the critical factors that make a search successful. ESSC's recruiters are proven professionals. All have 5 or more years of successful executive search careers preceding their joining with us. Some have 20 or more years in recruiting. Most important, we all love what we do and bring intuition and passion born of success to our work. We are blessed with million-dollar producers who continue their commitment to meeting employer and candidate needs in an atmosphere of ethics and excellence.
Moreover, as a key component of our "style", Executive Search Of Southern California offers employers more personalized and focused follow--through than larger, more bureaucratic agencies typically employ. "Getting to know you" as an employer or a candidate is not only our personal preference: it enhances our role as an "honest broker", first, in bringing the parties together; then second, in cementing the match. There's a good analogy with systems engineering here: modern placements require attention to the whole process and to individual components at the same time. For example, such a systems approach mandates getting an accurate understanding of what you want and need as an employer or as a candidate. It entails regular communication throughout the interview process. It includes building consensus around a compensation package that satisfies the parties. It envisions providing thorough reference checks that reassure all concerned that a pending employment matchup is likely to endure. Whatever the search process component involved, we apply that broad systems perspective and attention to detail at each step that only be developed out of the experience gained from numerous successful placements that have stood the test of time.
It all comes down to knowing the parties, anticipating the match, and orchestrating the logistics every step of the way so that the placement process works as intended to meet both employer and candidate goals.
Call us at 909-621-4335 and find out how easy it is to engage the best for your search. We want to work with you!
When you need to fill a position, you want someone who shares your sense of urgency and who works around the clock to meet that need. Are you working with budget constraints that puts added challenges in the way of filling your position? Do you have a short time in which to make a decision? At ESSC, we pride ourselves on successfully completing such tougher search assignments. We have pioneered time-saving techniques such as candidate marketing profiles and focused interviewing schedules (at our facilities or yours) that maximize your chances for success. Moreover, our full range of search options is available to you at no additional cost.
ESSC recruiters don't give up easily, either. If it takes awhile to find the right candidate and you're serious about your search, we'll see it through with you. But we won't shortcut quality just to show you search activity. We continue to view the match-making process as high art, and while inspiration and intuition play their parts in finding the right people for the right jobs, we don't stint on the perspiration and perseverance aspects that enable inspiration in the first place. We win our fees by completing the job rather than getting paid by the hour, so sticking around to complete the job with us costs you no more than engaging those who strive for the "quick fix"--and then aren't around to work with you the next time you need them.
To keep on achieving technical placements in tough economic times mandates resourcefulness and tenacity. For those occasions when the search parameters require it, we don't give up when finding the right candidate requires recruiting from a wide variety of sources. With our practice nourished by our extensive recruiter networks built up over years of networking in venues like yours, we embrace a wide range of internet sourcing, personal networking, and the always increasing capabilities of our own 20,000 candidate-strong indexed databases to give us a competitive advantage in successfully completing your toughest technical assignments.
Contact ESSC at 909-621-4335 or email jake.bach@execsrchsc.com today to start building a long-term recruiting relationship that lasts beyond tomorrow. Let us know how we can best be of service. You'll be glad you did!
Lou Adler, the noted Recruitment trainer and HR consultant recently observed: "There are other ways to assess competency, but the ability to recognize talent is a core skill of a great recruiter. Without it, you'll never be able to fully represent your candidates. . . Once you know how to really recognize talent, you'll be able to better represent your candidate more fairly and accurately. This is what top recruiters need to do to insure that the best candidate gets the job. It's the recruiter's role to insure that the hiring manager and the rest of the interviewing team accurately assesses candidate competency. Otherwise, you're just an administrator."
We agree. If we couldn't offer excellent candidates, it would be harder to justify paying us to help out. We can offer first-rate candidates, however, and we do. Even better, not only have we developed the art of identifying and presenting top talent from which you get to choose: we have also developed our capability in timely sourcing and presenting candidates of interest who already live here.
One of the best ways to ensure placement success is to have local candidates and contacts in the first place! Whether you're trying to place technical professionals in Los Angeles/San Bernardino Counties (our home bases), Orange, Riverside, or San Diego Counties, we either already know or know how to network to timely source the top quality candidates you need.
More than 10 years ago we began supplying answers to Southern California's technical recruiting staffing needs by building up a cadre of superior local candidates who could contribute right away--at the compensation levels that fit our areas, without the need for long learning curves or relocation. Even in tougher economies such as we're experiencing today, both the trade literature and our extensive experience tells us that the trend in candidates' job search values has tipped strongly in terms of "location, location, and location." In turn, we have even seen employers valuing such employee quality of life issues so highly as to relocate their operations to encourage employees to stay employed "over the long haul" instead of turning over in the near term. With such geographic employment dynamics increasingly influencing hiring decisions, you need a recruiting professional who hears and understands the interests of both parties and who can ensure that the matchup maximizes the chances of long term success for both employer and employee alike--one who can deliver candidates who already live within a minimum commute to work.
From our ongoing track record of placing professionals who have contributed year after year in their new venues; and from our million-dollar producers networking with a wide array of professionals, we can analyze what it takes to source and staff tough assignments with qualified candidates who live Southern California and want to stay connected here.
We have what it takes to find, qualify, present, place, and support the local candidates you need, so we will be pleased to join forces with you and staff your non-relocation openings. But if it takes importing professionals to meet your needs and you want to explore those options, we'll extend the search outward as well. (If we have to show you relo candidates too, we will.) We know how to minimize the difficulties of these placements and maximize your chances for success with relocating candidates, too.
Join us by calling 909-621-4335 today and begin the process of connecting with the candidates you want. We'll start locally, and extend the search to relocation candidates if that's your choice. Either way, you win--and you get to choose!
Over the years, our recruiting efforts have provided hires from stand-alone professional players through enterprise-level executives.
We succeed by recruiting highly targeted, expert, and committed candidates that fit the critical openings employers still need to fill. We've been employing a "no surprises" recruitment style, a) by first determining what it takes to produce superior performance, then b) by qualifying and personally marketing the candidates who deliver that expertise and whose track record and personal profile fit that culture. We take personal and professional pride in "getting it right"--and that's why our placements stick.
To make such matches, we learn as much as possible about the shop's systems and organization--both the hardware and software of the job as well as the job description. We ask questions about workplace values and culture to better understand the critical dimensions that make up successful profiles for specific jobs and companies. Then we thoroughly survey candidate backgrounds to match their profiles and personalities with the companies. In actually presenting the candidates for consideration, you don't just get a resume from ESSC. Rather, you get a profile or a pre-employment report assessing the candidates attributes vis. your search particulars even before you interview them, and we continue the communication following all interviews through thorough debriefs and updates every step of the way.
By the time you're ready to make an offer, you'll have a good idea of the candidate's interest level and what it will take, financially, to "bring that person aboard." (Candidates will similarly have a sense of what they can expect from an employer's pending offer, so their anticipations are more likely to be in line with what you can afford.)
Naturally, then, we'd like to work with you to develop a feel for which skillsets or types of candidates would be most helpful to your operations so that we can get started right away toward sourcing and presenting the "right" candidates with the kind of pre-qualification and background information you need for making informed hiring decisions--and placements that last.
We'll welcome your inquiry--whether you're actively recruiting or just contemplating commissioning an external recruiter and want to "compare notes"--so call us at 909-621-4335 or email us at jake.bach@execsrchsc.com about your current or anticipated search concerns. You'll be glad you did, for you'll be beginning (or building on) a special relationship that we hope will last for our second twenty years--and then some.
At E.S.S.C. our aim is to build on our successful track record by winning your new business today and your return business tomorrow. We commit our professionalism, performance and our understanding of the critical factors that make a search successful to you at reasonable fee rates. We offer a truly cost-effective resource, for our placements have stayed "placed" so well that we have won repeat business every year we've been in operation! Again, we believe in hiring well the first time around, minimizing costly surprises and eliminating repeat searches. We continue to excel at finding top technical talent at affordable salaries--and we offer competitive contingency search rates as well. But we know that recruiting budgets are constrained in tougher economic climates, and we try to offer competitive alternatives without compromising the quality of our efforts on your behalf.
It's no longer a surprise that it can seem like a buyer's market again in today's economy. Yet that same condition of apparent candidate availability can make things that much more difficult for employers. On the one hand, they can get swamped with unqualified resumes--the paralyzing "paper blizzard" syndrome that can numb even the most dedicated hiring managers.
On the other hand, recruiting the right candidate with the right skills is more important than ever. The difference between good companies and market leading companies is often the quality of their work force. The corollary is that hiring mistakes that are made in a tight economy are especially costly. Work with us to define superior performance and we'll deliver the extraordinary talent to do the job!
Once you decide to get more formal with engaging our services, we'll be glad to provide you with a competitive contingency rate or another type of fee agreement to meet your needs. (While we offer retained and "blended" search arrangements as well, under contingency fee agreements it costs you nothing but your time and communication commitment to utilize our services until and unless you hire someone we refer.)
The choice of fee approach is largely determined by your needs. Whatever approach you elect, we confidently assert that it costs no more to engage the best! Give us a call at 909-621-4335. We promise to work with you on all aspects of the search, including the economic issues that matter to you!
We'll be glad to prepare a Fee Agreement for your review and signature to commence a formal search assignment. Fortunately, after twenty years of recruitment, we've learned how to keep these letters brief. We can email or fax such Fee Agreements your way. Just let us know your preferences, and we will follow up. (If we are to fax this document to you and your receiving fax is not private, .please let us know what security measures to follow, e.g., faxing only when you confirm that you'll have someone standing by to receive it.)
ESSC recruiters are used to traditional contingency search terms (i.e., that way you only pay us when we complete the search and our candidate hires on with you—and stays. In fact, our standard fee letter even opens with a declaration to that effect! Until those spelled-out conditions are met, no payment is due--again, you owe us nothing but your commitment to communicate and work with us to complete your search and placement.) This contingency approach is still the most popular option for many employers.
At ESSC, we also work under retained recruiter search agreements wherein you choose to pay for all or part of the search in advance, then set a schedule of payments for the remainder of the search fee. This option is particularly effective when you prefer to "buy down" our time to attach the highest priority to your search--to head the list of scheduled executive search activities--and in the end, it costs you no more to complete such a retained search agreement.
We also offer blended or customized fee arrangements (with initial partial payments that underscore the urgency and seriousness of your search.) Such approaches also have the effect of elevating the already significant relationship that you cement by signing a job order with us. Like retained arrangements, such blends are an excellent option for employers with time constraints, highly specialized recruiting needs, or other aspects of their search that need to build in an extra element of attention or commitment of resources to a given search.
Whichever fee approach you choose in defining your job order with us, you'll find that it makes sound economic sense to engage a seasoned professional organization that has your interests at heart and who wants to build upon an already enviable record of success in Southern California. Since ESSC's fees are competitive even with those of newcomer firms who have seldom recruited in demanding environments such as today's, we submit that it makes good business sense to choose ESSC as your “go-to” recruiting resource, and we want your business!)
Normally, our fees are due at placement, but we invoice you with a 10-day grace period. (We will consider a discount for prompt payment. In some instances, where the engaging company's Accounts Payable department finds such deadlines difficult to master or where management needs to stagger payments over the probationary period; paying a small non-refundable engagement fee at the beginning of the search [deducted from the total amount otherwise due at placement] can trigger a discount.) Whatever your business's payment needs, please let us know about them as we begin working together so that we can work with you to meet them. (Note: See "Tell Us About Your Opening" in the Employers section of this Website.) Again, we want your business over the long term, so we pledge to work earnestly to provide engagement terms that accommodate your operational needs and objectives-and make good business sense together.
Please consider yourself invited to call ESSC, to email us about your anticipated recruiting needs, to submit a request for more information, or just to begin the relationship with us by contacting Jake Bach, our Principal! We hope you'll take the opportunity to let us know about your hiring needs by means of the new employer job order email option above, but we want to get to know you--even if you're not in a hiring mode right now.
At ESSC, we want to become your "go-to" recruiters--so call and tell us when and how best to be of service! Let us know about your hiring needs by calling us at 909-621-4335. Let's "sign up" together!
